Stellenbosch Hotels

Stellenbosch, the second oldest town in South Africa, is about an hour’s drive from Cape Town and lies between the Jonkershoek River Valley and the Stellenbosch mountains. It’s a small but beautiful town and is home to some of the finest example of Cape Dutch, Victorian and Georgian architecture in the Cape region. Wine lovers will be in paradise in Stellenbosch. One of the oldest wine routes in the country is accessed from the town, and the surrounding vineyards are some of the finest in South Africa. It’s also a fantastic place to stay if you enjoy walking and hiking. Anyone who feels like a challenge should consider the full-day Vineyard hiking trail which takes you on a 24km journey through forests, olive groves, vineyards and coastal renosterveld.

The nearest airport to Stellenbosch is Cape Town International airport, which is about 35km away. It is one of South Africa’s biggest airports and connects Cape Town with other major cities in South Africa, as well as the rest of the world.
